Toronto, ON (July 13, 2021) – When a school is forced to move to online learning during a kitchener-based pandemic, Ontario D2L I knew they were facing a challenge.

Education pioneers quickly realized that they were flooded with new users with limited online learning experience.Their efforts to meet challenges and adapt delivery models to meet new demands have won it nationwide. Transformation Awards inspired by emerging technologies At the 2021 ITWC Digital Transformation Conference, July 13-15.

To help public and private schools move quickly to online learning, D2L has streamlined Brightspace and created a quickstart package for new customers.

In the first two months of the pandemic, instructor posts and learner comments increased in the D2L Brightspace activity feed. Earlier this year, the use of the D2L portfolio also experienced increased adoption. D2L was thrilled to see increased customer and learner use and engagement at D2L Brightspace.

COVID-19 has also stimulated demand for D2L products among companies and organizations seeking virtual training and education options for their employees. To help people understand the scientific, social and economic perspectives of the pandemic, it offered a free COVID-19 course for leaders, educators, learners, and the general public.

The award was presented by the prestigious Fedri, Minister of Economic Development, Job Creation and Trade in Ontario.

“This is a great example of what an organization can do if it gives equal priority to providing the highest quality service, end-user experience, and innovation,” said Fawn Annan, president of ITWC. “The D2L example raises the bar for the industry as a whole.”

The Digital Transformation Awards program was launched in 2017 to find success stories for organizations looking for examples to follow on their own journey of transformation. The program is endorsed by coastal to coastal businesses and public sector organizations. An independent committee of industry experts will judge the winners based on a number of important considerations.
